Nature-Based Solutions for Land and Water Management

Nature-based solutions use proven techniques for protecting land and water resources, using nature as a model and guide. These options can work better in dozens of ways that help grow community wealth while enhancing our environment and avoiding the need for more costly alternatives.

Everyone is invited to learn the basics of these ideas, and help grow and spread these smarter solutions in our own neighborhoods and communities. Let’s help teach others, so these ideas can go viral,  building our own profitable ecological solutions! Community Energy Solutions is working with the National Coalition for Community Capital to establish project financing investment funds that will enable these practices for all kinds of food, energy, and water systems.

We will be indexing success stories and case studies for all kinds of land uses. We will explore concepts already established in comprehensive design guides and frameworks that help explain how nature-based solutions can be applied.

These are most definitely ideas whose time has come.
